The Mission Parish of Randham Korattur, is a remote and backward village in the Diocese of Vellore, Tamil Nadu. It was established on July 24th 1996 and handed over to the Passionists.
The Parish has got Eleven sub-stations scattered in 20-25 K.M. radius; 12 basic Christian communities, Altar Boys Association, St. Gabriel’s Youth Group, Self Help Groups, Legion of Mary and St. Paul of the Cross Milk Society. The people of the village are new generation learners and economically poor; working day in and out for their daily bread. They live a life of hand to mouth existence and earning minimum income as they work as coolies in the agricultural fields. The mission also caters to the educational needs of 710 students from 57 villages in and around Randham Korattur. The Mission aims to help the people through Cow program and Milk society to attain economic and social stability, irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
