Nilambur

The Novitiate community in Nilambur comes under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Calicut. It is located about two kilometres from Nilambur town in a village called Vadakkumpadam.

The Novitiate House was blessed on the 26th of October 2011. Primary aim of the community is to help discern the candidate to pursue their vocation and to become a vowed member of the Passionist Congregation. It provides a natural ambience for the novices to listen and to discern God’s call.Various classes on a wide range of topics and other input sessions, as well as spiritual practices like desert-day, solitude walk, fasting and penance try to help the novices to accomplish the purpose of the novitiate year. The novices are also given opportunity to attend the common novitiate program conducted at the Claretian Community in Carmelaram, Bangalore. The sacramental and spiritual exercises aid the candidate to understand Passionists vocation and Apostolic spirit.
